Kids Farmers Market

The Yolo Food Bank coordinated a Kids Farmers Market and Dignity Health volunteers where in charge of running the market once a week throughout KinderCamp for all Maxwell Summer School students.

The Kids Farmers Market is a great learning experience for children. They are introduced to new food and they learn how to shop for produce. As they shop around using fake money they practice their math and communication skills. It also gives them the opportunity to learn about nutrition and to develop healthy eating habits. The Yolo Food Bank coordinated the Kids Farmers Market and Dignity Health volunteers where in charge of running it. It took place once a week throughout the four weeks of KinderCamp and it served all Maxwell Summer School students
